BA Insight to Provide Secure Connectivity to Over 20 Million Opentext Livelink Documents Across Shell
Project Delivery Completion Accelerated with Surfacing Critical Livelink Content in SharePoint 2013
BOSTON, Mass. – October 13, 2014– BA Insight, provider of software that transforms SharePoint into a Powerful Unified Information Access Platform, announces that Shell has deployed its Content Connectivity Engine with Opentext Livelink. This enables Shell’s global users to search and retrieve valuable documents pertaining to past capital projects. Implementing BA Insight’s technology helped Shell save time and expenses associated with internal development. Valuable knowledge for future projects can now be leveraged enterprise-wide as relevant information can be reused. This will help to accelerate project completion timeframes.
“We have over 50 ‘out of the box’ connectors that securely bring business-critical, siloed content from across the enterprise into SharePoint, eliminating the need for organizations to undergo expensive development projects and customizations,” said, CTO Jeff Fried of BA Insight. “Our connectors provide secure, high performance indexing for enterprise content sources to make business-critical information accessible and searchable. Our Opentext Livelink Connector provides Shell users with access to a significant volume of content that they weren’t able to get to before, improving their user productivity while decreasing duplication of efforts.”
The Content Connectivity Engine can be purchased and implemented as its own component, separate from the rest of the Knowledge Integration Platform. You can learn more about the Content Connectivity Engine here.
