IBM Notes Database Connector 

IBM Notes and Domino is an advanced platform for hosting social business applications.

With the IBM Notes Database Connector, users have the ability to find content stored in Notes databases using SharePoint Search, Azure Sesarch, or Elasticsearch.  Security defined within IBM Notes is automatically reflected in the search experience, which ensures that users see content for which they are authorized. Ultimately, users can find everything they need in one place.

Connectors for SharePoint

The connector supports both full crawls and incremental crawls:

  • Full crawls request and index all desired content from Notes databases
  • Incremental crawls request and index only content which has changed since the last crawl

    Indexes every desired item with a very high throughput. Many BA Insight customers have millions of documents or even hundreds of millions. Just 1 million documents indexed at 1 document/second would take over 11 days for a full crawl!

    Only surfaces the content that users are permitted to see.

    IBM Notes retains the master information and the search index has only a representation (pointers). Users expect to click on a search result and be working on the original item or document.

As new versions of Azure Search, Elasticsearch, and SharePoint Search are released, new features and functionality are introduced, and the same is true of new releases of IBM Notes Database.
