eRoom is one of the leading online project collaboration systems, is part of the EMC Documentum Content Management family, and remains popular due to its flexible room and folder architecture. It is formally named EMC Documentum eRoom.
Our eRoom Connector for SharePoint establishes a secure connection to the eRoom application and maps the content, including metadata and attachments, from the eRoom schema to the search engine schema. It then extracts content and feeds it to the search engine in a process called crawling.
