Massood Zarrabian, CEO and Chairman of the Board

Massood Zarrabian joined BA Insight as Chief Executive officer and Chairman of the Board in 2013. A software veteran with over 35 years of experience, Massood has a strong track record of building and growing profitable, venture funded software companies. Prior to joining BA Insight Massood served as CEO and Chairman of Certeon, and prior to that, he served as President and CEO of OutStart from 2001 to 2012, which was acquired by Kenexa. Previously, Massood served as President and CEO of ServiceSoft Technologies, where he led the company’s successful merger with Broadbase Software. He also held management and executive positions at Computervision Corporation for nearly 22 years, in a variety of roles in research and development, sales, and marketing. Massood received a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jeff Fried, Chief Technology Officer

Jeff Fried is focused on strategic applications of search technology. He came to BA Insight from Microsoft where he served as technical product manager for all Microsoft enterprise search products. Fried is a frequent speaker and writer in the industry, holds 15 patents and has authored more than 50 technical papers, and has led the creation of pioneering offerings in next generation search engines, networks, and contact centers. He is a co-author of two new books: Professional SharePoint 2013 Development and Professional Microsoft Search.

Debbie Braunert

Debbie Ferolito, Chief Marketing Officer

Debbie is an accomplished marketing leader with over 20 years of results-driven marketing experience responsible for driving BA Insight’s marketing strategy and execution. Most recently, Debbie served as Vice President of Marketing for SoundBite Communications, where she successfully positioned the company for an IPO and facilitated growth strategies that led to a $100M acquisition by Genesys. Prior to SoundBite, Debbie led all marketing efforts at Pedestal Software, which was acquired by Altiris for $65M. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a marketing concentration and a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Bentley University.

Sean Coleman

Sean Coleman, Chief Customer Officer

As a seasoned leader in the software industry, Sean has a great deal of experience ensuring operational and technical success. He has held leadership positions in IT, software engineering, customer support, and professional services. Sean specifically enjoys creating results-driven teams that solve complex business issues through innovative software and services. Prior to joining BA Insight, Sean served as Director of Worldwide Project Management at IBM/Kenexa. Prior to that, he served as Director of Worldwide Customer Support at OutStart, which was acquired by Kenexa. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business and management information systems from East Carolina University, and a Master of Science degree in management and strategic leadership from New England College.

Michael Hertigan

Michael Hertigan, Vice President of Finance and Controller

Michael Hertigan joined BA Insight as VP, Finance and Controller in 2014 with more than two decades of financial leadership in technology companies. In this role, Michael is responsible for overseeing all of BA Insight’s finance activities. Prior to this, Michael was the controller at Currensee, which was acquired by OANDA; XOsoft, which was acquired by CA; and Funk Software, which was acquired by Juniper Networks. He holds a Masters in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Nate Lentz

Nate Lentz, Board Director

Nate Lentz joined Osage Partners in 2008 having previously been the President and CEO of Verticalnet, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand supply management software solutions, which was sold in January, 2008 to Italy-based BravoSolution. He served as the Malvern, PA-based Verticalnet's CEO for over five years and was attributed with leading the transformation of Verticalnet from an online operator of web portals to a proven software solution provider, while navigating the company through a financial turnaround and ultimately a successful exit. Prior to Verticalnet, Lentz was a Partner at Mercer Management Consulting and led both the San Francisco and the Hong Kong offices. During his time at Mercer, he worked closely with multinational companies and high growth emerging businesses both in the U.S. and in over fifteen countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Lentz began his career at Chemical Bank in New York providing lending and structured finance services to mid-size companies. He is a graduate of Brown University and of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he graduated with honors. Lentz serves on the Board of Directors of Carnegie Speech, Landslide Technologies, InstaMed, Hard Metrics, ProtonMedia, FieldView and BA Insight.

Phillip Eliot

Philip Eliot, Board Director

Philip Eliot is a Principal at Paladin Capital Group and focuses on investments in technology-driven companies in a variety of industries. He has been working with early-stage technology companies since 2000, when he joined FBR Technology Venture Partners, a $200 million venture capital fund focused on software and telecommunications companies in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Paladin, Eliot was a Vice President at Core Capital Partners, where he led investments in software and infrastructure companies including SilverStorm Technologies (acquired by QLogic, NASDAQ: QLGC) and RulesPower Corp. (acquired by Fair, Isaac; NYSE: FIC). He began his career as a consultant at Dean & Company, working in the telecommunications and utilities industries as well as the firm's private equity practice. Eliot received a B.A. in Physics with Honors from Harvard University.

Todd Pietri

Todd Pietri, Board Director

Todd Pietri is a co-founder and General Partner of Milestone Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital fund focused on technology-enhanced services businesses. In addition to BA Insight, Pietri is responsible for numerous Milestone investments in software, data, and Internet services companies. Sectors of interest and expertise for Pietri include enterprise IT, digital healthcare, financial services IT, business services, media and marketing services. Milestone Venture Partners is based in New York City and was founded in 1999. Prior to Milestone, Pietri was an investment banker, a turn-around LBO firm investment professional, and a software company operating executive. His operating experience spans direct sales, sales management, channel management, business development and business process consulting. Pietri received his BA (cum laude) in English from Duke University in 1989 and his MBA (valedictorian) from the Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University in 1997. He is also a CFA charterholder and a regular guest lecturer on venture capital at The Johnson School, Cornell University's MBA program.

Glen R. Bressner

Glen R. Bressner, Board Observer

Glen is a Managing Partner of Originate Ventures (based in Bethlehem, PA), an early stage-oriented venture capital firm that is primarily focused on investing in emerging companies located in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has been a Partner with Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds since its founding in 1985 and combined MAVF’s fifth fund to help establish Originate Ventures. Glen began his venture capital career when he joined Key Venture Capital Corporation upon completing his MBA and opened its Boston office in 1984.

Investments that Glen has led include International Quantum Epitaxy (LSE: IQE plc), the world’s leading merchant manufacturer of compound semiconductor wafers, Innovative Solutions & Support, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSC), a leading provider of flat panel avionics to commercial aircraft, Access Health (NASDAQ: ACCS, acquired by McKesson), a leading provider of health information solutions, Ravisent Technologies (NASDAQ: RSVT), a leader in digital video solutions, AnyTime Access (acquired by Digital Insight), a provider of on-line loan origination and processing solutions, UltraCision (acquired by Johnson & Johnson), developer of the Harmonic Scalpel system, MicroE Systems (acquired by GSI), manufacturer of the most advance position management solutions and CareGain (acquired by Fiserv), a provider of consumer-directed health plan solutions. Glen holds a BSBA, cum laude, from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College.
