Joel Oleson Joins BA Insight as Director of Enterprise Search Strategy

Top Rated Speaker and Recognized SharePoint Influencer Joins Team of Industry Experts

BOSTON, Mass. - July 14, 2014 –BA Insight, provider of software that transforms SharePoint into a Powerful Unified Information Access Platform, is proud to announce the appointment of Joel Oleson as Director of Enterprise Search Strategy.  Joel is a recognized SharePoint practitioner who has launched over 30 communities around the world. As a former employee of Microsoft, he helped architect Microsoft’s own Intranet “MSWeb” and enterprise search strategy on SharePoint, which was recognized as a top Intranet by the Norman Nielsen Group.  He architected the first version of SharePoint Online currently known as Office 365. Joel was also acknowledged as a top Microsoft SharePoint Online Influencer in a recent study by Forbes. 

In this newly created position, Joel will partner with BA Insight’s global customers and prospects to demonstrate how they can advance their enterprise search strategies to increase findability, provide secure connectivity to content systems, and drive a remarkable user experience.  Joel will also be speaking on behalf of BA Insight at industry events and conferences and will be an active contributor to the company’s blog, as well as other thought leadership and technical resources.
